Tokyo Tokyo, Manila
For our first night in Manila, we decided to eat at Tokyo Tokyo. Like I mentioned in previous posts, we wanted to focus on restaurants not available in Cebu. We were staying at Intercontinental Hotel and we were pretty tired from our shopping trip earlier in the day so we decided to dine somewhere close. Intercontinental Hotel is close to so many establishments that are within walking distance so it was pretty hard to choose which one to go to.
Wakamatsu Yakiniku, Cebu
Aside from December, August is the second most busy month our families has in the year. Birthdays, parties, celebrations, anniversaries. You name it, It’s in August.
Teriyaki Boy, Cebu
Baby’s teeth have been giving us problems again. Her two upper canine teeth just came out and we had an interchanging cocktail of fever, runny nose, dry cough, and soft stool. One thing that never goes away though is Baby’s appetite. Sick or not, she eats the same way (Ha!). So after she started feeling well, we decided to go out as a family. We spent the afternoon at the mall and let Baby ride her favorite rides at Timezone. Then for dinner, we went to eat at our favorite Japanese restaurant in Ayala Center, Teriyaki Boy.
Beef Asado (Japanese Style)
I love Japanese food. I could have it every day and not get sick of it. Unfortunately, I noticed I only get to eat Japanese when we go out. I tried to make makis and sushis at home a couple of times, but miserably failed. And so I decided, I would look around and find something easy to make. This is how I stumbled on this Beef Asado (Japanese Style) recipe. I don’t remember how I got it. I just remember cutting it out, pasting it on a recipe card, and stashing it in my recipe box. I don’t know how or why it’s called Japanese style but it looked easy and simple to make so I decided to go for it.
