Balamban Liempo
If you’ve experienced going all the way to Balamban to buy Balamban Liempo like I have, then you don’t have to worry no more. Balamban Liempo is now here in town. Yup, they are open in Salinas Drive, Lahug; right in front of University of Southern Philippines. I’m not sure if there are other branches in Cebu, but this is the one my husband and I tried a couple of weeks ago. At P160, you get a huge serving of their liempo, while their whole chicken is at P145. They had an ongoing promo where you could get the liempo and chicken for only P290 and we tried that. That’s a pretty good deal! There was so much food, Hubby and I couldn’t finish it all. I’m going to say that the liempo and chicken was probably good for at least 6 people.
Chicken
They say that Balamban Liempo is tastier than lechon. I am going to respectfully disagree with that, but it is really good. A lot better than most of the liempos I’ve tasted. It’s loaded with spices and herbs. I was afraid they would overpower the meat, but instead gave a very tasty combination.The chicken was alright; forgettable actually. I’ve definitely had better roasted chicken. I think I’m gonna stick to ordering liempo when I order at Balamban liempo.

If you’re interested in ordering some liempo, I would suggest you call in advance and let them know what time you can pick it up. Or if you buy a couple of pieces, you may even ask if they accommodate deliveries. I strongly advise to call in advance thought, as that’s what we did with my Hubby and we had a smooth transaction. Their liempo sell very fast and I’d hate to wait in line for 20 minutes only to be told there are no more pieces available.

Before I use to eat liempo and im craving for sometime, but since last March 2009 I stop eating red meat including beef, But chicken is the best for me, ty for sharing your adventure about food tripping, I love your blog, GB
