Japanese Theme Night

Salmon Sashimi and California Maki

We just recently added theme nights to our family activities. Basically, a theme night is a one-time per month event where we focus on one specific country and share with each other facts on its culture and etc. Since the baby’s arrival last night, we decided to make new family traditions and events. I think theme nights are great. Not only does it give our family something fun to do with each other, but it’s also very educational.

The plan for the theme nights is to share information on the country’s culture like national‘s costumes, dances, food, and etc. We can even squeeze a movie or documentary after eating dinner. I think it’s a great idea. And since Baby is a little too small to appreciate all of that, we decided to focus on the food and dishes for now. We’ll be adding more appropriate activities through the years.
