North Park, Manila
After Salcedo Market, we went back to our hotel room to let Baby take a nap. It was gonna be a busy afternoon as we were planning to bring her to Manila Ocean Park and then Star City later on.
Salcedo Market, Manila
There was one thing I was dying to do this weekend: go to the Salcedo Market. In the part years, I’ve heard so much about this event that only happens on Saturday mornings. Located along Leviste Street in Salcedo Market, Makati, this was about 10 minutes from our hotel. Since it wraps up at 2pm, I urged Hubby that we go as soon as we were done with our breakfast. And breakfast was gonna be light because I was excited to get my hands on the Salcedo Market goodies.
Serendra, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City
We started the afternoon with shopping at Serendra in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. This was our first time there and I was surprised to see that it was about a 20 minute cab ride from the Intercontinental Hotel. For some reason, I always thought it was farther than that.
Davao Trip January 2010 (Part 2)
We continued our Davao vacation with a trip to D’ Japanese Tunnel. This was part of our history tour.
Davao Trip January 2010 (Part 1)
Hubby, Baby, and I decided it was time for us to take a much needed family vacation outside of Cebu. And so we found ourselves in Davao. I have to admit, at first, I was a little hesitant. I’d never been there and I’d heard so many stories on the news. But boy, was I wrong! Sure, we saw more military men in the streets and in the mall then in Cebu, but I never got the feeling I was in an “unsafe” place. In fact, at times I felt like I was in Cebu. Many people in Davao still speak in Visayan so it wasn’t hard to wander around. But then again, we stayed with Hubby’s aunts who made sure to bring us around. If I were to describe Davao in one word, it would be NATURE. With lots of greens, animals, wildlife, the beach, Davao did not fail me to show its natural beauty.
Waiting for our arrival was a beautiful pig roasting over fire.Just delicious, with crispy skin and juicy meat.
Imperial Palace Waterpark Resort & Spa – Cebu
It’s been a week now and the fun memories are still playing in mind. It’s been a long time since we took a family vacation and we immediately thought of Imperial Palace Waterpark Resort & Spa, the newest hotel to open in town. It’s big, lavish, and the home of the first waterpark in Cebu. And when we saw that they were having promo rates for their grand opening (Sept. 16, 2009-Sept. 18, 2009), I could not help but reserve a room. Since the opening night was on the 16th, we decided to stay on the 17th and 18th because we thought it might be too crowded on the 16th. We have no regrets.
