Manila Food Trip – April 2010
Our flight was supposedly at 4:00pm but it was delayed by 3 hours so while waiting we thought of grabbing something to eat. But food in the airport is unbelievably expensive!!!
We stayed at Cafe Wien. For a clubhouse sandwich, chicken noodle soup, and 2 sprite we almost paid the same amount as we would have at the city for a full meal. And the food wasn’t that great!
Manila Trip April 2010 – Intercontinental Hotel
Last April, I had to make a quick trip to Manila to settle a personal matter. Because it was an unplanned trip, I could only get one day off from work. And because, I absolutely had to go on that particular weekday, I decided to just go and stay overnight. Luckily, Philippine Airlines had an ongoing promo online so I was able to snatch cheap tickets for Manila. Unfortunately, the flight was 3 hours delayed which made our short trip even shorter!
Easter Sunday 2010
Most families like to spend Easter Sunday at the beach for the day (others, even for a week!). In fact, Mactan Island was jam-packed that day. After attending mass early morning, we made our way to join the Cebu crowd at the beach. After several attempts, we settled at Maribago Bluewater.
Boneless Bangus (Milkfish)
With Palm Sunday coming up this Sunday, I just wanted to share with you a great find I had to rely on a few times this Lenten season. This year we’ve been very good and observed meatless Fridays religiously. I also decided to sacrifice softdrinks this lent. Not an easy task, especially since we’ve had to attend a few birthdays and baptisms. But so far, I’ve survived.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Whew! I finally have the chance to write something down here. The last couple of weeks were crazy! I started shopping for my Christmas gifts in November, but I still found myself scrambling to get the last few gifts at the last minute. I thought if I started shopping earlier it would make things easier, but no, I found myself buying more than I should have. Never has our Christmas tree been so overloaded. It was insane!
