North Park, Manila
After Salcedo Market, we went back to our hotel room to let Baby take a nap. It was gonna be a busy afternoon as we were planning to bring her to Manila Ocean Park and then Star City later on.
Salcedo Market, Manila
There was one thing I was dying to do this weekend: go to the Salcedo Market. In the part years, I’ve heard so much about this event that only happens on Saturday mornings. Located along Leviste Street in Salcedo Market, Makati, this was about 10 minutes from our hotel. Since it wraps up at 2pm, I urged Hubby that we go as soon as we were done with our breakfast. And breakfast was gonna be light because I was excited to get my hands on the Salcedo Market goodies.
Serendra, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City
We started the afternoon with shopping at Serendra in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. This was our first time there and I was surprised to see that it was about a 20 minute cab ride from the Intercontinental Hotel. For some reason, I always thought it was farther than that.
Lechon Paksiw
What happens to leftover Lechon Baboy? Lechon Paksiw, that is. Personally, I prefer Lechon Baboy, but Hubby is the biggest fan of Lechon Paksiw. After we had the party in our house a couple of weeks ago, Hubby could not wait to get his hands on the leftover Lechon he had frozen. There was only one thing he wanted to do with it: turn it into Lechon Paksiw.
Dad’s Bruschetta
Dad and I were grocery shopping the other day when he told me that he would make Bruschetta for dinner that night.
Choucroute Garnie
With everything that’s been going on with my mother-in-law, I haven’t had the time and energy to cook a proper meal at home. For two days, I’ve left home early morning to join my mother-in-law at the hospital and from there, went to the office. Because I’ve been late coming in in the morning, I try to stay a little later at night. When I get home, I feel the exhaustion just piling up on my shoulder and I can barely drag my feet to get to bed, let alone cook. In short, we haven’t been eating well. On the third day, Dad decided to take matters in his hands.
Gelatissimo, Cebu
This particular post is very hard to write. Two days ago, my husband and I received some very bad news from my in-laws.
Happy 1st Birthday!
OMG! How could I forget that this blog has turned 1 year old already? I wrote my first blog post on January 24, 2009, so it’s definitely been a year. 1 year and 5 months, to be exact. So even if I’m 5 months late (oops!), I still wanna celebrate this.
Ipar’s
On the first week of June, we celebrate my mother’s birthday. And although, she’s not around anymore, we still like to go out and celebrate. This year was no exemption and I wanted to go somewhere new for a change. A few months ago, I passed by a new restaurant in F. Ramos Street, which looked interesting. A few years ago, this was an old house, so I was pleasantly shocked to see that it was replaced by a Authentic Spanish restaurant. My family and I love paella, so I was excited to try what they had to offer.
