La Marea
I don’t think I know anyone who doesn’t love La Marea’s warm brownie cup. That’s where we went after eating dinner at Mooon Café.
I love La Marea. One might object to the simplicity of its decors, but I think it fits perfectly. The first time I went to their new branch, I was fixated with the photos on the wall. Picture this. White walls with black and white photos of fishermen at work, children playing, sailboats, and the sea. Raw and intense. You have to be there to get what I mean, I guess. Or maybe it’s just me. Anyways, I found it odd to have such pictures on the wall and then I finally got it. La Marea. The Sea. I guess I was expecting the usual abstract arts most coffee and pastry shops have nowadays.
