Cafe Uno, Waterfront Hotel

With a new member in our family, Valentine’s dinner was different this year. A little less romantic than usual, but I didn’t mind. Didn’t want to risk having another baby on the way so soon. Haha. We asked my dad to come along and make this day a family affair. Poor thing was gonna spend Valentine’s Day alone watching tv. I should play matchmaker on him one of these days. Anyways, I had made reservations at Marco Polo Hotel a week before the 14th, but when I called two days before the big day, I found out they didn’t write the reservation. So unprofessional, really. Their food is great, but the organization and management is another story. You have no idea what I went through with their past events. Actually, that’s what even prompted me to call them two days before Valentine’s and even as I was dialing, I had a weird feeling at the back of my throat. Turns out, I was feeling weird for a good reason. Of course, I complained. But in the end, I told the girl, “Never mind. I’ll go eat somewhere else.” And so we did.
